Yep I'm a MO man... hunt several different public land spots but mark twain, coldwater and apple creek to name a few. I'm in the south eastern part of the state.

Will de that and same for you if you would like to try some hunting in the southern part of the state I'd be glad to show you some public land around here. I would like to get up north and hunt some of those bigger bucks that I hear about though

I'm from north central Missouri but don't usually hunt any public ground. Fountain Grove on rare occasion but mainly hunt private property in Linn , Livingston , and Chariton Counties .

You put to use the information from this site you will have no problem knocking down some good bucks on public land. I would like to hunt some public up north but I have a buck I'm really focused on here on public land. Great deer and I'm having a time trying to figure him out so he has my full attention at this point.

First 28 years in MO and hunted south, central and north. The Conservation Dept handles things well in my eyes. Good deer to hunt.

I agree that the MDC does a great job of providing some great opportunities on public land and do good work with private conservationists but all their "captive crevid/CWD" propaganda is getting a little annoying . Can't wait till all of that is decided and over with .

Down near Ft L.Wood is a bow only property called Woodson Woods. I've heard good things and it bumps against a good sized no hunting property. St James Foundation runs a trout fishing park and Conservation land kind of wraps around it. Hope to get there someday.

Any luck yet this year? I sat an evening at Danville but no action. Picked up a little info on area I scouted during spring. Conservation dept has fewer crops in this year.

MO boy here and also new to the site, first post actually. I go to school in Johnson County (UCM-Go Mules!) Ive hunted Martha Perry, Lamine River, and Davedale just outside columbia, but mainly hunt Daniel Boone since its closer to my home town. Davesdale looks like it could hold some big mature bucks but its not a short drive for me.
