Im trying to get back in the BIG BUCK mode. I had planned on rolling right on through from last hunting season till this hunting season n feel I have done OK but still lost a little deer hunting fire due to my love for fishing, camping, spending time with family and friends. So Im trying to get my blood flowing again so when October 1st hits here in Michigan im already ready to rock and in the game. Most years I gotta get warmed up alittle before I start putting the big picture together then I hit my stride around the end of October.
Just to get the blood flowing can you guys post up some stories and picks of bucks that you killed last year that were a direct result of information you learned from this site !!!!! Thanks !!!!! I wish I had a good buck to show but I joined up a little to late last year.
Bucks directly from this sight !!!

Re: Bucks directly from this sight !!!
My buck i killed this year, i got him by mobile hunting a marsh transition that had hot sign. I set up the lone wolf when it looked to me like i was pushing close to bedding. Not a half hour later i shot him as he freshened a scrape. When i returned in the spring to scout, i discovered that I had set up 60 yards from where he was bedded that night and killed him. This was on public land that was new to me. Can't wait to get out and try it again this year, I'm so addicted this methodical way of hunting!

Re: Bucks directly from this sight !!!
I keep a journal of all of my hunts with very detailed notes. I reread that journal this time of year to get my mind thinking about this upcoming season. I have some new spots I am looking forward to hunting and some old tried and true spots I cant wait to revisit.
