natural ground blind sticks

Unread postby justdirtyfun » Sun Jun 22, 2014 5:36 am

Last season I wanted more coverage in a ground blind set up and found an answer at home.
My yucca plants had 2.5 to 4 ft tall stalks left from flowering so I cut 7-8 of them down. Minimal time and effort and very light. So maybe a month before season I took stalks and a roll of twine out to the woods. Using a group of three I tied a tripod together and arranged my set.
Not a major tip to share but the idea is good. You can get the same results from sunflower stalks. They are a easier item to work with than random sticks and some places don't have any available.

Good tip ! also, Oak branches and black zip ties work great ! the oaks hold onto their leaves for ever.
