WI MFL question
When the legal description of a parcel of Managed Forest Land says for example that 15 acres are enrolled within the MFL but then you go into the plat book and see that the piece of land is 40 acres, how do you know where the lines are at where you can hunt and where you can't hunt.

Re: WI MFL question
Call the county forester.
Sometimes you can figure it out by just looking at the aerial as only forested land can be enrolled in the program. For example, a 40 acre parcel with 15 acres of woods, and 25 acres of field may only have 15 acres in the program.
Also, the state is getting better at uploading the MFL paperwork to the MFL open land application. In these cases, there are hyperlinks that describe the property better.

Re: WI MFL question
Thanks bass. I just stopped in at the house and the lady told me I could access the whole 40 for today but her son would call me later to give me a map. I guess i will capitalize on this while I can. The land borders 200 acres of QDM

Sounds like you found some cooperative people in the program!
