My new mobile hunting camp

Unread postby magicman54494 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 2:47 pm

I've been looking for a camper that was new enough to have good working appliances but old enough that I won't mind doing some changes to the interior for cold weather hunting. I wanted an 18 ft. (just the right size for me and my stuff without feeling squeezed in). I also wanted a tandem axle trailer. They pull so much smoother than single axle.
This is my new home away from home. Now if I can only find the time to get it fixed up the way I want it.

Congrats Todd, looks like a nice little unit and appears to be in great shape. My wife and I picked up a 12 foot pop up (24 foot when open) for this exact same reason this summer. cant wait to haul a deer on the roof of it! Best part is you have enough room but don't need a 1 ton to pull it with like some of these monstrosities they are making now take.

Popups are a bit too airy for me in Dec. in the north. I'm not sure how they would handle the snow and possible ice buildup and condensation. just make sure you bring your wife to keep you warm at night. ;)

Very nice.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Looks perfect for hunting. 8-)
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Nice Rig! I've got a '73 Volunteer that's still going strong! I gutted the interior, installed a safe furnace, sink and gas light, cleaned it up and she's home sweet home for out of town hunts! I only stuck about 700 bucks total in mine though!
If we aren't supposed to eat animals why are they made of meat?
