My public land Minnesota bucks from the last few years....
New to the site, long time public land hunter in Minnesota.
My archery bucks from the last 3 years. All from the the same piece of land I've been hunting since I was a kid. It's been a good spot since it was clear cut back in the 80's. I didn't know what the heck I was doing back then but I'm starting to get things figured out a little better now. I've watched it go from mature forest, of mostly pines, to clear cut and back to mature forest again. Now it's a mix of pine and popples. Lots of water, creeks and beaver ponds and just about every other nasty thing Northern Minnesota has to offer. Wolves have been a problem for a long time but it's really bad now.

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

That's why I had to get a picture of that heart! It was super sized. The knife is exactly 6" from the tip to the but of the handle.

I've got a pretty good idea of what's happening in there now. Only took about 20 years to figure it out. lol
I can usually get a hunting buddy to help with the dragging. This year's buck was actually the worst drag of the 3 I posted. I can get a 4 wheeler close in most spots but without a chainsaw there was no way to get through all the windfalls this year. The big guy in the first pics required some knee deep cold water draggin...
Last year I just called my work partner and he showed up with a wheeler and a sled. While I was packing my gear up, he had already dragged it to the wheeler! Good friends are good to have

Glad to see you over here on the beast Steve. You have killed some great bucks and it'll be nice to get some input/interaction from you on public land hunting & hunting in general.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Welcome, nice bucks. I too remember the first picture of that huge buck. I don't remember where it was posted before. But awesome body size.

Welcome to the BEAST...
That 1st buck is indeed a SLOB! To bad he don't have a rack to match his body size.

I have family that hunt in the Orr/Cussin area. They live in Virginia, MN. Love hunting up there with them. Beautiful ground.
