Re: Hunting Scrapes ?
Hunter74 is the scrape close to buck bedding? That is the only time I have been able to get a buck there during shooting hours. I think it might be worth checking out once a year when the time is right just to see what happens.

Just a dumb question for your question...you don't have any moose on this property do you because it may be a moose rut pit. I ran into this situation until I put a camera out. Of course they go dead this time of year because they are all done rutt'n.

This is from a mock scrape I put in I wish I was hunting that morning! Not big enough to put in arrow in but would have been cool footage!

Nice! I'll post too when I get home. A scrape started up where I hunt 2 weeks ago and in 10 days I got 95 pictures/videos. No real bruisers, but an ok 10 pointer. I am looking for a 21 pointer from last year that I never caught up with.

Re: Hunting Scrapes ?
Here's a few of my Hitlist bucks I caught using a scrape from last season that I reopened about 2 weeks ago. I used some Smokey's Interdigital Scent and Preorbital Scent. I've seen 2-3 really fresh scrapes lately that I know have been worked during daylight hours. I jumped a mature deer this am around 11am bedded near a mock scrape I made last week. These videos are from 8a - 1030am in about a week period (14th - 20th). All older mature deer I've been following all year.
