Buck Video's from 10/21/2011 evening sw wind 8mph 56 F.

Good sit tonight in Iowa... decided to take a step back on this property I am hunting to get a better handle on deer movement. I have a good stand location next to a thick bedding area ... but it only works well for NE or SE wind. Last weekend, I place a stand on the edge of corn field and before a ridge so I could see the property better. I was able to use a cutting SW wind to catch these deer on video. This property has the best bedding on the other side of the fence... so hard to determine exactly were he is bedding ... but based on when I saw these two bucks "buck in the corn" and "buck in the distance" I can determine bedding area and close the gap between their bedding on the other side of the fence and the begin of my property. Will see how it works out!! Targeting the buck in the distance... I have trail camera photo's of him from the summer.

Good stuff. I like your low impact tactic.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

You from Dubuque? I'm about 50 miles south of there.
