I hope I got the right days for vacation this year

Last year I didn't see any rutting activity until opening day of rifle season, it was insane that day, by 8 am I had seen 5 different bucks, 3 of which were dogging does big time. In what should have been the rut last year I was still seeing does with fawns and the bucks were not cruising at all, that was in SW Wi from Halloween till the 2nd week in November. This year I have Oct. 27 through the 13th to get it done. Its been 2 years since I shot a buck with a bow so my trigger finger is ready to flex. Does anyone know what days everyones predicting to be hot this year?

Looks to that you have all of the best rut dates covered. I would say your best bet will be Oct. 31-Nov. 3. Best of luck to you!

Love those dates Brad, you picked well. My favorite dates are any Moon days (Oct 31, Nov 1 and 2 this year) and I have had my best luck between Nov 8-12.

If it stays could like it looks like its going to be going into November for a couple weeks it could be a real rockin rut.

Maybe the cold temps with the newer moon early on in the month will trump the second week time frame though.

I don't know much about the moon, all I know is when I glance over at my Hoyt Katera she has that "glint" that she is ready to take down another public buck!
