forecast for killing tomorrow

Unread postby Dor » Fri Oct 21, 2011 6:04 am

10-21-11
It will be the Second good day in a tree for me.
30 degrees at 6 AM, wind WsW at 6mph. Sounds like killing weather to me....got the perfect spot in mind. Hope things have progressed enough. Other hunters will start rolling in to this spot and have it sterilized come the weekend. I will be bringing antlers for backup ammo if needed.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll be posted in a stand tomorrow as well, I think we'll see some more bone on the forum by the end of the weekend. Good luck

I won't make it out until the weekend but I am excited that is for sure. I might have to bust out the canoe and hit some of those hard to access hideouts.

Early is having a mature dry doe, come by feeding 2 hours before closing time. And a couple deer pass by within the last hour unseen... Also starting to see 2 1/2 year old bucks and one 3 year old out on private farms in fields within the last 1/2 hour of daylight from the truck... Also noticed a lot more dead deer on the highway the last few days. Thats a big change from last week.

If this wind storm lasts into the night and calms before morning tomorrow morning should be real good. I have not looked at the forcast though.

This cold weather will really get them moving especially if this wind ever dies down some. Sucks I have to wait till the weekend but I guess that's the price I have to pay for saving most of my vacation time for November. :)

Looks like the wind is supposed to die down here tonight in central WI...Can't wait for the morning! I'll be in a tree the next few days 8-) Good luck to everyone going out!.....Also, I saw a small buck walking around behind my parents poll barn when I got out here about 3 o'clock. Looked like a spike or a fork who was probably smellin' around for a doe at the edge of the woods
