All the movement I have seen of this Buck has been Night time. I have watched him move around in his bedding area(Cant Hunt Local Ordinances)and that area is maybe 3-5 acres.
So will a nocturnal Buck stay that way, even when the rut starts?

He may, if you have does, that he wants to check out. What time is he getting to your camera? Any chance you can move closer to where you think he beds?

How are you watching him move around if its night time? I personally have seen a lot of bucks and I don't think I ever ran into one that was truely nocturnal... Everyone I observed moved around the bedding area in daylight.

Re: Nocturnal Bucks
There is a big difference in daytime buck movement during the peak of the rut compared to early season. So the odds are very good the buck you are seeing will be moving in the daylight later on.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
