October 11th.....why was it so good?
Anyone hunt on October 11th? If so, what kind of activity was seen? I couldn't hunt that day, but know of at least three good bucks killed that day. Also have a buddy that checked a trail cam over a scrape and had alot of daylight activity the morning of Oct 11th. Cant find any moon charts or Dan's days that say anything good about the 11th. Just a front or.......anyone else notice this?

Oct. 11th was the full moon. Apogee wich is when the moon is furthest from earth in it's monthly cycle happened on the 12th. Full moon has majors around noon. Apogee is thought to affect it like perigree, but not as intense.

The trail cam activity was all before noon. One of the bucks was shot on an evening sit. Central to west central WI....warmer weather, couldnt tell u the wind direction.

The biggest buck on our farm showed himself on October 10th 9:30 pm in front of a trail cam set on a trail. This deer has only been seen once this year and it was the last full moon on September 17th and he was standing in the exact same tracks basically and going the same direction

My brother in law killed his 2 biggest bucks on the 11th. Two years in a row. One scored 160 the other 140. He now takes off for that day. No kidding.

This date will be on my tombstone some day, but until then, I try hard to hunt that day if possible.
