1st Hunting trip of year

Unread postby mrjbigfoot » Tue Oct 18, 2011 6:52 am

Spent a week's vacation chasing deer & turkey last week, have to load more pictures but here's a couple from down on the farm & one from after I got home & saw a big Urban buck, crappy cell picture but you can see how big his rack is. Had the big doe bed down about 45 yards behind me, wind blowing like heck but a little window to try a shot through & I ended up sticking an arrow in the little dirt mound in front of her vitals..

Lil buck that I tried to get a video of and captured this still out of the video,

The big doe, I missed..

The big urban buck, back at home, 3.5 miles from my house, city limits.. that was after I spent a week hunting 2 hrs away..

Yeah, he's definitely a shooter but it literally is city limits, absolutely no guns and roads within 50 to 100 yards in any direction.. houses 100 yards to the right, factories & warehouses all around..

Ok, here's a lot more pictures from last week! We just put the 1st 3 trail cams up on Wednesday so not a lot of trail cam pictures yet, need to go back down & put a couple more cams out and work on figuring out where the big boys are at. They just started harvesting crops this past week, beans 1st & lots of new areas will be opening up to go access & put cams up. 3,500 acres, 2,500 that my best friend, the landowner maintains as 10 day gun & 3 day muzzy hunting only because all the gun hunting is post rut & he likes for the big bucks on the main farm to get to fully pass their genes around. I only bow hunted the periferal, 1,000 acres or so last week and wasn't taking pictures when I was swimming in deer and hoping to get an opportunity to stick one.. anyways, here's a whole slideshow of pictures:
