Anybody trying the Mock Scrapes this year ?
I made a couple of mock scrapes last Saturday......
I did not put any sort of store bought sprays in them. But I did pee in them myself, I heard it works.... We shall see. I hung a camera over both of them. I took my sticks along and climbed a tree 15 feet or so, hoping the deer don't see it....

Re: Anybody trying the Mock Scrapes this year ?
my buddy gets any tarsal glands of a fresh killed buck and makes a mock scrape and rubs the glands everywhere then puts up a camera.
He gets many nice bucks coming into redo the scrape, he usually always puts in on video. This is not always where we hunt... but it does work.

I was told deer can not tell the difference between human urine and deer urine.... after it gets filtered through the kidneys, it all comes out smelling the same... I don't know, but like others have said, I have pee'ed out of my treestand, only to have deer come in , smell it, and move on like nothing is strange to them at all.....

I have heard about it but haven't tried it...I have heard that if a buck senses another buck has been using their scrapes they will check it more often....

I in scrapes all the time and then put cameras on them... mock or real - human urine works just fine
Not sure if I would in an active scape where I plan to hunt... but for cameras on edges = Yes
