Stealth Strips added to cables and Seat Upgraded

Unread postby Dor » Sun Oct 16, 2011 5:30 am

Where else do you guys put your stealth strips? I have some left to apply.

Also picked up another seat to vastly improve the comfort for 20$.

Put some stealth material where the bottom of the cast seat and the top of the cast platform collide. Every now and then you set the stand down or bump something and those two metal surfaces will slap together.

Good call. I have some layered tape there already, stealth material should dull that more.

50 bucks? Good lord.. That's a lot of money for a seat, especially when the muddy and gorilla seats can be had for 20..

Where did you guys find the gorilla for $20? Do the sticks still pack well?

I bought another Lone Wolf seat for my Assault and just stacked it on top of the other seat, cut slits through both and attached with zip ties around seat frame. Looks completely stock and is twice as comfortable!! :)

I use Kwik-straps so they pack tight no matter what.

Guys who upgraded to the gorrila seat, do you have any problems with the seat staying in the up position due to the pad hitting the tree? Ive got a cheap rivers edge stand I hang for my doe hunting and between the thick seat and the closeness of it to the tree, it will not stay up. I would upgrade my LW in a heartbeat if i knew it wouldnt have the same problem....Think Im going to over tighten the bolts on the seat of the rivers edge, so its hard to lift, but also hard for it to fall down.
