First hunt of the season

Unread postby Indianahunter » Sat Oct 15, 2011 8:24 pm

Getting ready this morning for my first hunt of the season and I am stoked! I don't even care if all I see are B&C Squirrels....It's gorgeous in the woods right now and I need some soul renewal after all this working. It's going to be a pretty windy and not a great wind for any of my buck beds....so we are on operation freezer meat this morning. Good luck to everyone going out this morning and don't forget your safety harness :D

Well it was a beautiful morning. It was a lot windy however. I had a doe and her fawn come by at 22.5 yards...but they were trotting a pretty good clip at the corn and never gave me a shot. About 11:00am the winds picked up to about 35-40mph...decided to call it a day come home and get some work done. Can't wait to get back out there.....vacation starts Friday the 21st until November 13th. Hope things are better weather wise and we can get it done. Thanks everyone for the warm wishes and good luck to all of you.
