I would suggest sleeping in getting into the stand around 10:00 AM and hunt until dark. During the rut hunting in the dark is wasted time and the early morning hrs are not any better than the rest of the day. You will be surprised how much fresher and enthused you are following this regimen. When you look forward to tomorrows hunt rather than dreading getting up at 4:00 AM or earlier. This is putting the fun back into hunting. There are also advantages to this for the hunters that hunt twice a day morning and evening; less hunter exposure, ground scent is cut in half, and you can take a crap before you go out hunting not having to get down and have to deal with that. I have not had one guy that I put on to this regimen tell me it didn't work. This 10:00 AM to dark, is not for early season hunting when hunting patterned deer or bedded deer, this is during the rut.
Key detail
Nothing worse than having to climb down, get out of the area, and peel off 5 layers of clothing trying to squat and miss cloths. That is why I mentioned it as a big advantage.
