I'm going to let the boy try and fill the freeze this year, during next weeks youth hunt. I told him he can only shoot does, he's got to leave the bucks for me. JUST KIDDING . I also got a good read on nice 8 pointer, I'm saving for him.

To early at the lease in wi, our season here in mi opens in the morning. Next year my kids can hunt, at least thats my understanding, no age limit if with a parent, Im excited about that

My Cameraman Shane killed one the first night we got out......................Since, we have not had any in range,we still have high doe numbers so I will try to take at least 3 more this season.

I have a farm antlerless archery tag, though thinking of waiting until/after the rut to fill it. Hedging against killing my "bait".

Had a doe in range last night but didn't have a tag for that county.

Really don't need the meat, freezers full of elk.

Took my kids out last night, for the most part they were good. Heard acorns falling, just no deer. Walking back a bit early due to it being to dark in the blind for me to accurately shoot, we stumbled into a doe. She saw us and was quartering away about 25yds. She was alert, and I just couldn't pick a spot, so I didn't shoot. There will be other chances, plenty of season left.
