Dan, very possible

I am staying out of there...it is amazing to see the difference between a mature buck and immature bucks or does.

they don't even notice the red glow or the scent nearly as much as he did...he clearly detected something was wrong and was not comfortable with it at all

But who cares, thats a great buck.
Is it possible he spooked cause of your human scent rather than the red glow?

170 Inch range for sure. I'd bet It's more the red glow then the scent that spooked him. I've saw that exact response all too often with my IR Cuddebacks I use to have. I no longer have an IR cam that has red lights.

Best of luck with him!!

I was going through some old trail cam pics and I think this is the same deer last year..what do you all think?

He would have been an 11 pointer in velvet last year and looks to have added length to his tines and another split brow tine. The two sets of pictures were taken less than 50 yards apart.

There are several cams out there that will do this. They are referred to as "Black Flash" cameras. They were designed to solve the issue of deer being spooked by the red glow. I haven't kept up on them lately, but I believe one of the more recent black flash models that have come out is one of the Bushnell Trophy Cam models. There may be even more recently released black flash cams out there.
