Where to hunt tonight?
Should I set up next to cattails and upland grass or in the oaks this afternoon?

The oaks sound good but the upland grass has a lot of sedge meadow mixed throughout it, lots of bedding areas. There are limited trees that I can get in though.

If your goal is to shoot any deer = Oaks

I would tend to hunt where oaks dropping acorns meet good buck bedding cover right now.

Thanks guys. I went way back in a marsh to a little oak island. No luck, looked like the oaks aren't producing too many acorns...

I was out tonight and it was slow... was in some low land on public. The wind was swirling pretty bad. I have been out every day and have been struggling since opening weekend. But tomorrow is supposed to be a NE wind and I have been waiting for that wind, hope to be posting some pics Sunday morning
