what was wrong with the Nuges recent article on baiting? Last I read he was in support of it and justified how he uses it as a hunting tool...Seemed pretty straightforward and not like anything the anti's could get too fired up about...if he wrote a more detailed troubling article please share a link!!!!!!!!!!

For me, best money would be spent on opportunity. Whether it's your own land, a lease, hunt with the right outfitter, or cost associated with scouting, all the best equipment in the world won't kill a deer if the opportunity is not there. JMO

The article that I am referring to was in the January issue. I couldn't believe the D&DH wasted precious space on what seemed to me to be a personal rant about politics and interest in merely killing, not hunting. I almost canceled my subscription on the spot. But as one reader put it, "one bad apple shouldn't spoil the applesauce".

I am trying to raise the cash for a one on one with Dan on my home turf. I am positive that will be the best investment I have ever made in hunting!

I am addicted to trail cams but I would have to say my 2 pairs of Muck boots. I do alot of scouting, shed hunting and long walks to and from the stand and they are like wearing bedroom slippers in the woods, very light weight and comfortable. And no matter how cold it is all I do is put on a thin pair of white cotton socks and slip them on and my feet stay warm all day. Pike

After reading all the posts and thinking about it this is a tough ??
I am thinking weaponry and the fuel to get me there.
Will also agree that the BBO videos is money well spent.

Pike, which Muck Boots do you use? I have been thinking of getting the Wetlands Mucks.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Re: Whats your best money spent on hunting?
My best money spent was 2 years ago MN Deer classic .I spent nearly all my money buying camo, books, deer calls ,a bunch of DVD's.As we were leaving my friend says to me check out this DVD,looks like they 're hunting in swamps like you do. I said yeah whatever, maybe but I,m broke. She offered to buy that DVD for me.I paid her back after we got home .And that Hunting Marsh Bucks DVD was by far the best money I ever spent on hunting, thanks to my friend.
