I think it's the few dollars spent on Field and Stream where Dan and the Beast appear. But I need to place my archery gear up there as well. By being a part of the whole season it really gave me time to learn and develop.

Besides all the mandatory stuff like my bow.....ect. I bought a Havalon piranta knife last year and its is awesome. Replaceable blades and I can gut, skin, and bone out a deer with the same blade and still shave with it when I'm done. Incredible little knife. and alot tougher than what it looks like at first glance.

Probably internet access for the knowledge. I would probably be hunting two stand spots still if I didnt have the opportunity to educate myself/scout.

I haven't had the opportunity to use the beast methods fully yet, but I suspect Dan's DVD's will be the best purchase so far. If anything they have completely stoked my coals into a raging fire of excitement for hunting. I think that drive is what will ultimately make or break our seasons. No pixie dust or extra products needed!

My wife just got it done, she was blind as a bat, now I can't make faces at her across the table.

Contact lenses-now I can pick a spot again. Also small light clips to bill of my hat cost 3 bucks.
