More hunting ground

Unread postby Zap » Mon Aug 29, 2011 2:09 pm

Followed up a lead tonite, lady has a half section(320 acres).

Real hard to find that size chunk around here.

Should meet with her soon and hopefully it works out.
This is permission ground for some help with chores.

The farmer that gave me the lead said he see's dozens of deer in the beans regularly. 8-)

!/2 timber, 1/4 hay and 1/4 crop with two ponds.

I'm sure a guy like you will make out fine Zap. Good luck!

That sounds pretty sweeeet Zap! Don't let that private ground close to home make you soft. Missouri public ground still beckons!! :D

Cool Zap, glad for you.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Hopefully it does, this is the best opportunity I have ever had at some good private land to have to myself( and some guests).

Time will tell.

I love my out of state public hunting, hope to do both Missouri and Nebraska this season.

It would be real nice to have some more land close, I can get up pre-sets and go for short hunts.
That way I can hunt and work so I can afford to go to the other states.

Once season hits I like to go almost every day.

I like my tree time.

Sweet! I hope you get it Zap!!! It could be your ace in the hole. Knowing you have a honey hole close to home could make it easier to pry yourself away from home for even more out of state hunts. Although that could create a whole new problem. You might not be able to afford the taxidermy bill! :D
