Well it's the first work day out there.

I hooked my buddy Luke up to hunt there also.
He has not shot a buck in a while.

We will probably work about four hour's and then take a look around....so we can come up with a plan...

We need to talk it over and then get a "scope of work" set with the landowner so everyone is on the same page.

I was out there the other evening around dark to lay out todays work detail with the landowner since she will be vending at the local farmer's market this morning.

There is 320 acres split by a gravel road that dead ends at the next property.

I drove down and back at dusk and saw a few decent bucks(120-140)and about twenty doe's/fawn's.

Its a nice set up since the beans are south of the gravel and the south side of the gravel has a pretty thick hedge row. Makes it easy to observe and not disturb, especially if I bring the bike. 8-)

I have a good feeling you and your buddy are both going to get some opportunities at some nice bucks out there. Good luck Zap!

Work day went well, another planned for this coming Saturday.

Set an observation stand.

Pulled up and parked by the garden to get in the stand, while I was getting my stuff together I looked out the window and there were a dozen turkey's fifteen yards from the truck. :D Pic taken out the window.

They never knew I was there.

Saw alot of deer and turkey's.
No big boy's thou. :(

Half a dozen does at sixty yard's as I was packing up.

Gathered good intel on doe movement, got a few tree's ready since then.
The landowner want's doe's killed. Hope to get a few opening week.
I plan to hunt does along the road in the middle of the property, keeping an eye open for buck movement. That will keep intrusion on the property to a minimum, and hopefully get some arrow's red.

Thats true,

The tree is two yards off the road, I would think they could have seen the sticks easily.......

Best to just stay still and let em walk......

Hopefully you get some does right off the bat to make the land owner happy. 8-)
