Just got my Iowa buck back from my taxidermist, looks even bigger on the wall than he did on the ground. :D

Nice deer, nice mount.

Is that muzzleloader a flintlock or peercussian?

Thanks all, that was a really cool hunt. I can tell ya, I've killed a lot of deer in my life but taking a plank, making a gun out of it and then going out and killing a deer with it? I've never done any hunting that compares with that feeling.

Heck, you guys can't even see the best parts of that gun in those pics. Definitely the fanciest flintlock I've made so far, I based it on details from a few different J.P. Beck rifes from the late 1700's.

Looks like a lot of time and effort went into making that gun, nice work!
