Hunting Vacation Schedule
wondering how you guys are working your hunting vacation days this year?....are you guys taking off some early season, mid season, saving for rut, right moon phase?, ect....Generally my plan is to roll a vacation day with my regular day off(thurs) and my weekend off(evry other)...so essentially i will have a 4day weekend every other weekend for the entire bow season!....and i will take a few extra days off in Nov to hunt the rut with my dad....what about you guys?

Re: Hunting Vacation Schedule
Last year I did the 10th through the 20th of November, this year I will be doing the 12th through the 21st.
I know that seems late but they don't really start around here u until the second week of November, should be perfect.

Re: Hunting Vacation Schedule
I usually take a few days off late Oct that are generally good moon days and then take a week off during the rut. Best days in my area are the 6th to 13th.

Re: Hunting Vacation Schedule
I only have a 40 acre property to hunt so what I do is take off fridays and mondays starting the last week of october. That gives me four days and then I can let it cool off for a few.

Re: Hunting Vacation Schedule
After transferring schools a few times I'm in my last semester at the one that stuck LOL I have enough transfer credits that this last semester is basically an entire vacation. I only have 2 days of class a week. I work part time but its for cash and its as I want to work...I worked hard all summer so I can afford to spend most of my free days hunting. I am dreading leaving school and entering the real world.

Re: Hunting Vacation Schedule
Im taking the full 3 months off to hunt 4 different states. Well actually I'm only taking 1wk or so off around mid Nov, but just picked up a book by Chris Eberhardt and its about the year he took off 3 months to hunt several states. Pretty cool read so far.

Re: Hunting Vacation Schedule
First off, if you're married, never, ever call time off for hunting a "vacation" You'll end up doin other things besides huntin
As for me, several days in late October, early November. Other than that weekens and holidays.
