I was the first one there and had the opportunity to take the rack, but the second guy behind me was just drooling and acting somewhat wierd about the whole thing, almost like he deserved it more than I did. I had to go to work, I didn't want to deal with all the headaches of getting a tag and such, and frankly I really didn't care that much because it was a roadkill. I had him hold the head up to snap the photo and I hit the road.
Anybody ever keep a good rack this time of year with velvet on? Wondering if you strip the velvet would they make good rattling "horns"?

That hurts... he still had a little growing left to do. What a loss....
If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.
