Ive always said I rather kill a 120" 7 year old than a 150" 3 year old which are what I could expect in my area, to me the older the deer the bigger the trophy, dont get me wrong......big antlers is what drives me into the woods everyday, but a deer who lived through 14 bow hunters per sq mile for 8 years is alot more impressive to me than the 200" 3 year old.

200" 3.5 year old because of the rarity of a 200" if they were closer in score the older animal everytime.

x2 there!!RUTIN wrote:Personally the best trophy is the deer i have to most history with, a 140" buck that ive got hundreds of pictures of and years of history vs. a 140" rut buck I know nothing about. To me the buck ive palyed cat and mouse with is the trophy!
I have little faith In what these biologist say on age of deer.

The 200 incher for sure.. I believe we can guess at the age of a buck but unless it is a buck you have tracked for years I truely we only guess untill it is dead and we age it.
