Great thread enjoyed reading the whole thing.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Spy, great thread! A LOT of quality information and great insight. I like the fact that you put your friends in some good spots to shoot quality deer... shows great character and unselfishness... I believe when you look back on your hunting career and memories, the memories of putting your friends on quality deer stands and actually having them harvest big bucks, is going to be as satisfying or perhaps even more satisfying than a lot of your personal hunts. Like someone else said... it says a lot about you!
Look forward to reading about your 2011 hunting season.

Re: Spysar ???
Bump for a good read. I was going to post a topic after seeing Spy's season, but did some searching (creepy, I know- forgive me :) ) and found exactly what I wanted to know.
Here's one for you Spysar- would you mind going through you buck kills from 2011 and elaborating a bit on each of them? (dates, states, what made that spot good, etc). I don't ask this to find your spots, I just want to learn. If you can do aerials/topos without giving away too much, that would be awesome. Not trying to put too much work on ya, but I really think others could really benefit from your experience.

Thanks sonofagun, I'll see if I can put something up this weekend, I'm not to keen on posting maps though...
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Re: Spysar ???
I understand and, in most instances, would not do it either. I was thinking along the lines of altering pictures or finding something similar as a reference. I hate to ask these types of questions because I know what kind of work and detail is involved with putting a post like this together. No pressure

Hey Spy, the Zodiak looks like just what I need. Do you inflate it when you arrive to the launch site? How long does it take? Was that a manual pump?
Thanks for sharing.

That is a bummer. Spy is a valuable quality to the deer hunting/fishing forums.
