Had a good year and the deer gods were good to me. Shot a 131 and a 161.
My deer are getting better, but some years I don't always get the shots I want on certain size deer. I eat tag soup those years. Happens to the best of us

O Missed a high 130's 10 pointer last November in SW WI. Passed a 125 inch 8 pointer in the same area a couple days earlier. Killed a 401 pound dressed, 19 15/16 P&Y Bear on Sept. 8th, 2010.

I shot a really messed up 6 point that was hit in the spine by somebodys arrow. He had a score of maybe 30 to 40 gross points.

I shot a 127" 10 pt with the bow, and passed a few about that size with the gun, ended up eating my buck gun tag, but that was ok. Saw a 150" ten point, found one of his beds and am hoping to put my bow tag on him this year, as he is still around.

saw 2 shooters last year, only one was within 50yds. I set a 100" min on myself back in 2001 and have only killed 1 buck(102") since then. So Id say things are trending towards the up side Dan.

Re: 2010 deer season / How did you do on bucks?
I killed a small 2 year old buck with my extra tag in the urban zone, reduction is the goal here so I did my part
passed on some small ones and did not get a buck on my regular tag
I was chasing this one, saw him once during the early bow season then not again all season during daylight.
As far as I know he made it through the gun season (pictures are from summer 2010 and he put on more antler as the summer went on)

Re: 2010 deer season / How did you do on bucks?
My freak buck grossed 129" non typ. by far not my highest scoring buck, but he was 4.5 years old and to me that is more a trophy than antler size. So no my bucks have not gotten progressively bigger through the years in terms of antler, but I do find I have been putting myself in spots to see more mature deer than when I first started 28 years ago.......
