bucks often bed with the wind coming across the top to the bed on the edge of the ridge drop off... They do it on points a lot. In your topo situation it appears that the buck is bedding on the edge without a point. There are several ways to hunt in this situation...
I guess the widely accepted way to hunt it is to wait for a west wind rather than the East. Trouble is "we" know that the buck only beds there on that West wind...
Often these bucks will follow the same elevation line along that ridge when they stage before going up top or dropping down. So if thats the case a guy could set up South or North of a bed like the one in the topo map.
If the buck is going up or East when leaving the bed into the wind, your still not out of luck. You need to wait for the wind to be at a West angle and then get to the side that gives you the wind advantage...
