NO MORE EAB
Just read in WON there will be no more earn a buck. It was voted down 16-1 outside the CWD zone and 10-6 within the CWD-MZ.

Re: NO MORE EAB
That is awesome news! I bet there will be a few monster bucks shot this fall that made it through last season after being passed on by guys with out proper "stickers". This means southern WI might actually be good for deer hunting again.

Re: NO MORE EAB
Even better news is that hopefully no more nubbies will be slaughtered for a EAB sticker.

You would be lucky to see a mature doe in the zone I hunt. I'm glad it is gone.

Re: NO MORE EAB
I got some "inside" info last week but was asked to keep it quiet. I think the DNR is planning on fighting to keep EAB in the CWD area from what I have heard.

That is the article from the front page of the Wisconsin Outdoor News. Members of the Conservation Congress Big Game Committee voted to recommend elimination of EAB at a recent meeting. Voted to eliminate EAB 16-1 outside CWD zones and voted to eliminate EAB 10-6 within CWD zones.

Re: NO MORE EAB
Many of us in Michigan wish we had EAB, with the thought that it would protect many 1.5yr old bucks. The thought is guys dont get their doe(harder to kill then those young bucks) so that saves some bucks. Or they screw up the area getting their doe and put the bucks on alert and or nocturnal. You guys have had the system, what is the big down sides to this? FYI we get plenty of guys shooting button bucks anyway and our late doe season puts a hurt on some bucks who have shed antlers.
