Thanks guys! Yeah it was a great learning experience for him to pay close attention after the shot. Good thing his mom came or we would have never found it...lol

He shot it straight down. He hit the back of 1 lung then liver and guts... guts were hanging out the bottom plugging the exit. I told that wasn't quite my definition of smoked....but he was excited..lol.

He only ended up going about 100 yds from where he shot him ...just in the complete opposite direction.

Thank you. Had to work with what we had. We have more cameras this year so hopefully we will all have one when one gets shot. The tracking job sucked....luckily his mama found a running track and followed it as a last ditch effort and end up finding a speck of blood that sent us in the right direction.

Yeah plus it is only his second year hunting so he is still learning to pay better attention after the shot.
