:handgestures-thumbup:

I saw one in WI last year on about the 14th. Mom was still licking and it looked wet overall. Such an amazing sight.

It’s definitely fawning season. Seems like half of last years crop is now laying on the interstate. First time away from momma doesn’t turn out good for many. Yikes. What a mess. :o

I’m about a week away from seeing fawns hit the ground. I like to watch newborns play in the fields in the evenings. Preferably twins, I like to guess which is buck or doe fawn by how they act. Who knows lol but I get a kick out of it and it keeps me outdoors and in tune with what’s going on at the moment.

Took this rather ominous picture while out for a hike one morning in 2020.

I haven't seen any yet. Also noticed a big lull in trail cam activity. One year momma left 2 little ones right on the edge of our yard and she ended up getting hit by a car and dying. Those babies hung around all summer.
Twigs in my hair, don't care.

Saw the coolest fawn I’ve ever seen today. I work for a small power company and were working off in a remote right of way thru a piece of public land and stumbled across this cute little thing. First piebald fawn I’ve ever seen before

Saved this guy from the haybine when we did our fields last weekend. Put him back when the hay was all rolled and the tractors were gone. The mom wasn't far off and quickly escorted him to the woods. Not the best idea to touch them but better than the alternative.
