Excellent new treestand safety products

Unread postby Indianahunter » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:35 am

I am sure you guys can remember my story of moving stands last April the turned in to me hanging in the tree for 3 hours before help could arrive.
Here are some awesome new harnesses but I am particularly interested in the Live Wire http://www.treespidersafety.com/

Check them out.

With the number of good quality safety harnesses made now there isn't any reason why everybody doesn't own at least one and wear it everytime they are in a tree.

Absolutely! Like I said the technology in the live wire is affordable enough that I think everyone should consider these as well. $60...I can tell you, I was absolutely exhausted and had no feeling in my legs to stand or walk when they first got me out of the tree. I honestly don't know how much longer I could have hung there before something worse occurred. I am grateful that I had my safety harness on and that I had a cell phone with me, or I probably wouldn't be typing this right now. If I would have had a live wire the only thing I would have needed is a clean pair of shorts.

I will have to research that. It is hard for me to believe that Robinson Labs would release a product without that certification though. I will let you know about my findings.
