Sure did Bper.

Wow. Guess it’s makes sense to have one knocked on the approach, huh?

No need.
I've watched enough "Hunting Shows" to know that the professional way is to whoop and holler, then rush in from the front of the deer, so you can show off it's head as soon as possible.
Duh.

Pretty scary how quick something like this could happen. Anytime your dealing with a wild animal that’s cornered bad things can happen. Been involved in some hairy situations like that myself over the years that could have turned out bad. Guys lucky to be alive. The temps were pretty frigid that day/night.

Most people want to redeem themselves by killing a buck that they may have missed or wounded in the past. But this guys got two reasons too try and kill that buck next year. #1 he wounded the buck and #2 the buck wounded him.
Sure would make for a good hunting story if he were to get it. lol

Kinda off topic…. But I always had a fascination with Siberian Tigers. These big cats have a history of holding a grudge. Literally dozens of stories of these big cats being wounded by hunters and tracking the hunter down to settle the score. In some cases the cat traveled vast miles to the hunters cabin. Some fun grizzly reads about them available on the web. I certainly would think twice b4 sending an arrow

They've been known to dig up human graves for food, as well.

Crazy.

They said he was disoriented and wounded and was found in a drainage ditch.
Kinda same thing animals do don’t they? Seek out water. Wonder if it was just a coincidence or some primal thing kicked in

That story just convinced me. I'd been on the fence about buying a bigger caliber pistol to carry with me. I usually have my 9mm on my hip mainly for the event of encountering two-legged predators but have thought about a 10mm or a .44 revolver, something big enough to put a stop to a big animal at close range.

Might be just a good excuse to justify yet another gun purchase to the wife though. :D

If your worried about your self defense gun that is for stopping an armed person from killing you being to small to stop an un armed animal from killing you, your pronanly right, the guns to small...
