Missouri Muzzleloader Hunt
Well boys, I just ate my first non resident tag since 2015. I truck camped, and hunted public land in Missouri for the last seven days and absolutely hunted my tail off. Most of the days I didn’t even take time to eat lunch because I was hunting/scouting, but I simply couldn’t turn up a buck I wanted to shoot. I will certainly be back next year, but I will definitely approach it a bit differently as I learned quite a bit. I walked into nine different pieces of public in seven days, and can definitely cross a few off the list. I’ll most likely focus on the central part of the state next year, opposed to the northern part that I hunted this year, simply due to pressure.
Anything worth doing, is worth over doing.

Re: Missouri Muzzleloader Hunt
Pressure in Missouri really ramped up this season. I saw it here in the south even with a lot of out of staters, locals too. I’m sure it’s probably trending this way across the states with the popularity of this DIY style. Don’t feel bad cause I do know of several good hunters that have not filled their tags this season in MO
