Hard to believe this is a deer track based on it's size so wanted to get your thoughts. Was in upstate NY for the gun opener and hunted the same stand Saturday (morning/evening) and Sunday morning- Sunday morning I came across this track so it must have occurred that night or I would have seen it earlier. The track goes up and down a hedgerow with many other deer tracks around. This is mostly farmland in the Finger Lakes region. We do have some big deer including quite a few we've harvested over #200 pound dressed, one being from this weekend that should score around 140-150".
Think this could be a deer or more likely a cow?

I'd vote cow. But if it's a deer I would sure like to see it!
It only takes 15 seconds for the hunt of a lifetime.

Kind of what I was thinking. We've had the property in my family for 40 years and no one has seen a cow on the property during that time- it's a hunting/fishing camp so no one is there other than during those times. Although, their is cows on a farm down the road so it's possible.

Maybe moose? I had a young moose go through a property I hunt and found it's tracks. Looked a lot like that.

Good thought, but no moose in this region. All open ag. too so if it was it would be seen it/the talk of the county.

Looks like a bovine to me. I was on a big track in the marsh once. Talked to another hunter later and he told me he ran into a heifer in the cattails. Must have escaped from the adjoining farm. I felt like a damn fool tracking it. Thought I found a whopper.

Yeah, I think that likely makes sense. I showed the pic to a couple of the guys at camp and they immediately said monster buck. The lack of dew claws on the tracks also had me leaning away from the possibility of a deer.

I read that happened to Roger Rothaar once.
He called his wife and some friends to show them the biggest "buck tracks" he had ever seen, and a heifer walked out of the woods in front of them!
