I decided to head back to the same area and hunt again. There are quite a few does in the area, and I figured maybe I will see another buck cruising for some lovin.. or even better, see my buck cruising and get another crack at him. Well, as you would think 2 days after wandering all over the place and having the tracking dog in the area, etc... I saw no deer at all. I sat till about 11 am, then decided I was going to get down wind of an area I believe to be a buck bedding area to see if I find anything, even if just for a later hunt. As I got close I noticed a single vulture circling overhead, however that's not unusual to see almost everywhere I hunt. But then over the brush, I saw a single vulture come flying up out of the creek bottom... I thought to myself "I need to go check this out immediately". So I did, and there he was... my buck. I had underestimated him. He was a tank! Unfortunately I wasn't confident the meat was good since it was even though it appeared all the vultures did was eat his eyes, so I caped him out and left the rest.
