Just looking for a solid color, don't feel like dumping the coin on an actual hunting rain suit yet. Figured you guys would know better then I would for non hunting rain gear that's not loud.

I hear Frog Toggs are good. I was going to get some high end rain gear but couldnt justify teh cost to use ratio.
Im interetsed to see what people have to recommend

I've had the Badlands catalyst. It gets extremely hot.
Is just as noisy as frog toggs.
Frog toggs
Magellan.
Honestly if the rain is hard enough I get wet in either.
If it's a light rain either of them is fine.
If I were you pick up a Frog Toggs and wear a sweatshirt over it to quiet it down.
Some on here really like Rivers West i can't comment on it because I've never owned it.

I really don’t think so. I’ve been trying to find cheaper stuff that works for a while. Mean while, I bought two sets of cheap crap…I could’ve had a nice set of pnuma or first lite.
Btw…pnuma makes some great stuff! They’re a little under the radar and their prices are reasonable.
I guess you get what you pay for.

Don’t mess around with rain gear. Just buy good stuff and be done with it. I sat in the rain Sunday morning and didn’t get wet at all. It costs money but being comfortable and dry is worth it in my view.

Expensive doesn't always mean quality. I have a high end first lite rain jacket. I got it on a special, which honestly I think was a mistake. I wore it this season in a rather light moderate rain. I got soaked.

Thanks guys, I'll do some lookin at the non hunting stuff and some of the hunting branded gear and decide for next year. Figured it'd finally be nice to have on those good drizzly to steady rain days during the rut instead of getting my normal stuff wet and having to worry but putting it in the dryer between hunts.

I have this stuff from cabelas. I like it because it’s not noisy and it’s light colored which works better for me out here on the prairie. There were a bunch of different patterns as I recall

Got it on clearance.

I'm using a Viking brand coat, they make a bunch of different stuff, but the coat I have is green and some sort of woven fabric. The pants that go with it are bibs, I didnt want bibs so I am using some pants from a Rhyno motorcycle rainsuit that I had lying around. They keep me dry, since I am a still hunter I find them noisy, but if I sat in a stand I wouldnt worry about it much.
They say millwrights can fix anything except a broken heart, but I've even got a tool that can do that!
