Last day before WI gun season starts. To me that day before has always meant the last day of early season. Years back that day was closed so the Thursday before was the end.

Maybe I should have rephrased this question.. When does a big early season buck become a "Rut Buck" ????????

There you go. Now that makes more sense to me.

I would say October 20th is a good turning point. Everything really seems to ramp up from that point. More rubs, more scrapes and travel patterns tend to increase a little bit more each and every day after.

That means you better get out today and get after that big buck. ;)

After October 20th scrapes start heating up and you start getting more daylight walkers.

Yes it is time... It's time to put small game on the side. .. We have bigger game to pursue. . .. I don't believe in a one week window because I am not chasing Booners,,,,. I'm just chasing ones that are older than ONE

A cold front is a comin. Good luck this weekend ! ;)

I’d say October 20 timeframe is when I stop considering it early season and I start looking at my morning spots.
