Learning the wind currents helps me hunt spots within spots. It allows me effectively to get into closer quarters, the mature bucks know the currents and now so do I.

Just to add to the confusion wind speed plays a big role as well, 5mph and 15 mph can do different things or add in gusts of wind and things can get a little more random. Then add thermals and openings in the terrain and you will start to wish you never learned about milkweed, but wow do those bucks love those hard to hunt spots with swirling winds and really any place where they have huge advantages.
