Hanging a stand the evening before a hunt

So I stopped doing this a couple years ago mainly because wind reports are liars. I'd get down from my evening hunt and rehang where I wanted to be the next morning and more often than not the wind would be the same as the prediction. When it did work out I don't know if I ever even had success doing it.
