I have taken on the challenge of building my own home this fall. Will be starting as soon as crops come out. So my main goal is to get a buck knocked down in the early season. Then to still find some time to hunt once building begins. I see some long long days and nights in my future.

My private property is finally ready to start targeting bucks and he gets first crack at any thing 140 inches are bigger. Even if that means I dont get to hunt public for most of the season.

Good luck! I’m pulling for him!

Let me know if you have any questions with your home building. I have been building for 17 years now!

so, I have goals that are kinda my minimum goals and my more lofty but less likely to accomplish goals...
My #1 main goal is to nice antlered buck on public land, that measures a minimum of 110".. that's the goal I consider very realistic for me.
For me the 110" is my minimum, since I shot a buck on public land last year that was smaller than 100", and I just don't want to keep shooting tomorrows trophies today... ha!
my more lofty goals are to fill more than one buck tag with nice antlered bucks... which would be quite an accomplishment for me.
and my probably almost impossible goal is to fill all three buck tags... which would be... amazing!

Quality hunts with kids first. Relax and unplug second. Enjoy the hunts third.

Squeeze the lemon for all it's worth.

Taking the fall off from any booze like way back in the yonder years and plan to grind.

Been training for a couple months and feel great.

Upland, waterfowl, small game and 4 BG tags, time to get wild.

The chiggers in SE Ohio are ridiculous! I must go through a can of deep woods off a summer to keep them off me when I'm scouting.

My main goal is to just enjoy being able to hunt with my dad for another season. He is 67 & has had some major health battles to overcome this year. Three months ago it didn't look like he was going to be able to hunt this year but he has made some big improvements and things are looking up. Nothing would make me happier this fall than to get the call that he just shot a big buck and needs me come drag it out.

My goals are a less lofty. Only been hunting two years. So, my goal it to kill my first deer…. Any deer. I’ve built up a collection of likely spots. Seeing plenty of sign. Jumped a few. Blew a few opportunities. Got my first turkey this spring so the effort is starting to pay off. This should be the year. But even if not… I love being out there in the woods.

My goal is always to learn as much as i can first while I’m having fun. As a bonus i would like to break the 120 range on public. Ill have 3 buck tags, 1 for pa and 2 for md. I’d like to get a 3.5 year old minimum in both states. Not concerned with my 2nd md tag. I also been mentoring a buddy of mine that pasted away 17 year old son. I want him to get his 1st buck with a bow this fall. That would be super awesome.
