Looks to be a very target rich environment. I'm sure someone will put down a decent buck there. Looking forward to see how it goes and what the educational takeaways will be.

Lots of pines, big ridges, unbroken hardwoods, clear cuts. I want to see how the beast tactics play out because where I hunt these big bucks can and will bed anywhere. Yeah they have bedding areas but that could be a ridge that runs a half mile or longer. Lots of topography that’s holds them and they use all of it. As for wind If the weatherman calls for north, 9 times out of 10 at your spot it’s going another direction. There’s serious gaps in pressure and the “odd spots” that would hold a buck in a high pressure area are vacant down here. Great news is the rut is kicking down here. Find a pinch/funnel and strap in.. a booner might just cruise by.

I’d say 5–7 per square mile.

Some areas are double digits I’m sure. My stomping grounds are definitely single digits.

Good call. Long running ridges for miles.

Pretty cool to see the guys from Untamed on this PLC. They produce awesome footage of bear hunting with hounds.

Just finished the 2nd video and this is probably my favorite PLC already. Looks like everyone is on deer and the deer are actually on their feet. 2 days in they have already showed multiple good bucks with hopefully more to come. It may not be as challenging holding it when they are this year vs previous years when it was earlier but I think the content will be better. And they have a great group with them. I'm sure they will kill a few before its done

Hang tight, there will be more. To have it a week after filming is excellent.
I love that Dan doesn’t whisper. Can’t understand the guys who whisper and there’s no closed captioning for hearing impaired.
