Some Bucks I Filmed From the Ground

Unread postby Spysar » Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:28 pm

I made all these vids on the same day. I was still hunting/scouting from the ground. I had my camera and my bow. After I filmed a couple of smaller bucks, I wound up killing a nice 10. I could either film or shoot, not both...

And this is the one I wound up getting.

Spy - Sweet vids... If you are ever looking for a new guy to take to SD/Nebraska to split/help with costs just PM me. Looks like some cool terrain. I'm working on a DIY mule deer hunt in SD for 2012... spot and stalk. Never tried it before but sounds like it can getting addicting! :D

Congrats on the ten pt! That first little buck looks like you spooked him when you turned the camera to film yourself. He was nervous and finally bolted after that. Cool videos! 8-)

Yeah, that buck caught me goofing around trying to get my bow and face in the vid, lol. I was trying to show how close he was to me. He probably would have walked into me otherwise.

All that video, and the buck was shot in about a 2 or 3 hour span on 11/6/2010 in Nebraska. I was still hunting/scouting. The buck I shot was walking around just like the other two smaller bucks. When I knew they weren't shooters, I took the cam out of my pocket and filmed. When I saw a shooter, I picked up my bow and shot....I saw even more deer that day that didn't get filmed or shot.
