Rope for Tether and Rappelling

Unread postby AndreSaavedra » Thu Feb 18, 2021 3:46 pm

I hunt from a saddle, can anyone suggest a rope for tether and rappelling. Need about 30 ft, there are so many different brands to choose from. Quality is of course of the highest importance since my life depends on it. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

I use 9mm sterling cc iv canyon rope that doublesteps sells. I ordered 35' and after knots it's about 30' and fits in a tethrd sys hauler. I use a figure 8 and an auto block for rappelling.

Thank you for the response, the website you gave me also has other items I might be interested in.

C IV canyon rope and oplux seem to be the most used ropes for that application, just have to make sure your belay device is rated for the rope you go with.
