Re: Beast property management
I like the idea of this series. I have about 50 acres to my self and have dabled in food plots and habitat work, however no expert. "Green" (clover, winter rye)plots are what I prefer to plant due to ease of maintenance and lack of equipment. My biggest learning curve was realizing that enhancing an area already used or traveled was the best options. Also trail cameras really become important to verify where mature buck do move through rather then where you think they do.
Good luck this will be valuable to all.

Re: Beast property management
Very interested in this, thanks guys.
Currently working on 12 months of native food to hold them there and improve health. I'm hoping native shrubs that offer food and cover while not hinge cutting.

Re: Beast property management
This will be a great series. Looking forward to more.
In my area ironwood is not a preferred browse so hinge cutting for cover would work well but might not provide the food you want. But if your hinge cutting opens up the canopy then you'll get the food in other forms.
