But it looks like a fall draw will still happen if I read it correctly?

Sounds like that tribal member had a lot of clout. This is good and bad I suppose. If his entire tribe does have that belief and always has than they should work with them. I’m really curious about it though. I’ve read several 1st hand accounts of tribes out west who def would not share that belief of wolves. Or at least they didn’t a few hundred years ago when they killed as many as they could.

It would be interesting to me if they talked to the tribe on a broader level than just one guy.

Not to ridicule the guy by any means. Just sparks my curiosity. Many times a single person steps forward to represent people and doesn’t necessarily do so hot. That tribes opinion could be split down the middle..

The loudest ones and decision makers rarely have skin in the game.
As an Our of state guy- it's up to Wisconsin.
As an American - wolves are part of the ecosystem.

Our job is to be good stewards and at a minimum keep animals above endangered.
Counties without room for game have no idea what it's like. Wild and free

So the pagan thinks that a wolf is his brother, which shows he is mentally ill, and they cancel a season?

Does he also think that rocks have spirits so there can be no quarry?

The species of wolf here is not the same that was once native to the land. That's a problem.

Couldn't the tribes just not participate?? If the wolf is a "brother" in their culture, they will also be against the fall hunt, am I right?

What if this Native American dude is just an agitator like that guy banging that tom-tom in front of that high school kid in DC? Meaning, just a tool employed to achieve ends.

State should quit stocking walleyes for them to spear and letting them do as they please with no liability for their actions. Stupid we just take it dry and ignore real issues because someone is offended.

To some Native American's that live in Wisconsin(I personally know a lot and am friends with a bunch), the black bear is also a sacred animal. However, Natives get a bear kill tag every year and if they harvest one, they haul it to the reservation to register it and immediately get handed another tag. The zone I live in requires anywhere from 5-8 preference points to draw a tag for the general public.
The lands and the waters and the game is also all sacred. It would be interesting to see a unbiased poll on how ENTIRE Indian nation feels on a wolf season.
