I spent many an hour watching those old videos sitting in the archery shop as a kid fletching arrows.

I still have ihs book i bought back in the 80's when i was in middle school/high school (wow, I was weird kid). He killed some giants in NC Illinois. I remember the cowboy hat and cowboy boots. Last year it was Rothaar and now this guy. I guess i'm getting old.

As a kid in the 80's, I can remember my dad having an autographed set of "Noel Feather rattling antlers". Time flies.
Take someone hunting or fishing.

Use to rent bow hunting videos at the local archery store.
Always enjoyed his and Dan Fitzgerald’s and they were instrumental in me starting to bow hunt.

Remember him well, some of the first guys making bowhunting videos are getting to that age.

Re: RIP. Noel Feather
Back on the old days the pros actually went to shows, and we would all shoot the bull before and after the shows and sometimes all meet at a resturaunt/bar on friday and saturday nights, miss those days, myles keller sent me a happy birthday wish, and noel dieing brought back a lot of those old memories yesterday. I still have sn old 8 x 10 photo of Noel with a booner signed... I remember him getting in trouble for shooting penned bucks and playing it off as wild and it ruined his career. People were a lot less forgivimg on those days, now people hardly get upset about stuff a lot worse.... Anywho, he may have had some flaws, but he was a man with a big passion who was one of the founders of hunting vidios, whoch eventuslly led to hunting Tv. before him and Fitzgerald and the Wenzles people did not show kill shots. Some of those early videos were jaw dropping at the time they were released, though now most would yawn at them. But its because of those veterans who took risks and forged the path that we have wjat we have today.

Re: RIP. Noel Feather
I can remember watching Dan Fitzgerald’s “Passing through” the first time and it was so cool to see the camera shot from the entry side and also watching the arrow come out from the other side. He had that string tracker too and that thing would sing as the string came off of it as they ran. There was so much more about the hunting and not pushing products that you have to have. I remember hanging out at the local archery shop and these videos were always on with us sitting around watching them just waiting for the season. Man times were good. I really enjoyed these pioneers of hunting videos and what they gave me as a teenager. I could go on and on about those times. Thanks for posting this Dan. Brought back some great memories and a little bit of sadness.
